Here's one data point.

I purchased my 2017 GS RWD (Luxury Package) back in May. I anticipate this will be my last vehicle purchase before my retirement in 10 years. Given all the bells and whistles on this model, I decided to go full-out and get the 10-year, 125,000 mile warranty from Toyota/Lexus Financial Services through the dealer. I can't remember exactly, but I believe it was in the $3,800 range.

I have purchased this warranty before on previous Lexus/Toyota vehicles, and it is excellent. It is usable at any Lexus dealer, and in fact it "shows up" when any Lexus dealer enters the VIN into their computer. If you total the vehicle or sell it, you can receive a pro-rated refund for the portion of the warranty that was not used. Alternatively, it is transferable to a new owner for a $50 fee. This is GREAT if you sell the vehicle, because you can offer the warranty to the potential buyer as a selling point.

FYI, for anyone else that might be interested in this warranty - the cost goes up by about $1,000.00 if you have AWD.

Any chance you could tell us what kind of discount you got off of sticker price? I hear the deals are best in California.

they threw in a bunch of numbers, so i don't know the exact discount. I normally focus on OTD, not all the discounts and MSRP stuffs. However, i can tell you exactly what i got. Sticker on car is $58,600. I got OTD $54500(this means tax, destination charge, registration, license, etc. are all included). Where i live, tax is 7.75%. Hope this helps!

However, note that i got the 2017 model, NOT the 2018, so it helps that dealers are trying to get rid of them.

Recently purchased a 2017 GS 350 AWD non F-sport with Premium package, cold weather option, and M/L audio. MSRP was $57,369; my final negotiated purchase price is $49,600. With 6.75% Ohio tax, documentation fee, license/title fees, the final out the door price is $53,829. I declined every single dealer add-on they offered. It looks like you did all right.

I got 7 years and 100,000 miles extended warranty (Mercury Platinum I believe) for about $500 extra through my credit union when I got it financed. I figured I might as well add it since I got a great deal on my 2016 GS350 F-Sport (MSRP: about $58,500) which I got for less than $51,000 TOTAL amount including ALL the taxes/fees, GAP, 7 years / 100,000 miles extended warranty and interest for 54 months at the end of December last year here in Los Angeles area.

I think in the next few weeks or next month they will start to have very good deals on their cars since the 2018 will be coming soon. Don't wait too long though or the color combo you want will be no longer available. I really wanted ultra white to replace my 2015 F-Sport nebula gray, ended up with Atomic Silver which is 2nd color I wanted.

True. I wanted the ultra white and there are only 2 or 3 left in CA!

Before you buy from the dealer, please check the prices with folks like Toby Rivers or Jerry Johnson.
These guys work for Toyota dealerships, and focus on high volume. They sell Toyota/Lexus factory warranty (exact same thing that you'd buy from your dealership, just significantly cheaper).
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-warranty.html

I have bought from them twice, and can confirm that what they sold was the Lexus factory warranty that was honored at the Lexus dealership.
For my GS, I bought the warranty about 3 years after I bought my car (must be bough before the initial factory warranty expires). I got quotes at $1470 for the 7/75 and $1615 for the 8/75 (Lexus platinum - $0 deductible)
This was over a year ago, so prices may have changed (hopefully, they still work for the toyota dealership)
