Ooohh that rabbit hole is a tough one. You want your cake and you want to eat it too.
I am gong on 50000 miles with the stock suspension. Resisting the urge. I am interested in what you come up with. I'm on my last few thousand miles with this current set of ties. I'm doing a set of bridge stone run flats next.
I thought going to a 225/45/17 would get more performance. Instead I got worse fuel economy, and that squirrelly feeling when in truck groves. Next set is a 205/45/17 rft. I was looking at the bmw i3 and it has big skinny tires.

17x7 will be a mid high offset. I ended up doing 17x8 with 35
mpg shot up 6 mpg with these wheels.
on the fence about coils, it has been suggested bc coils with swift Spring upgrade. No idea first hand on Ride.

17x7 is high offset. so the wheels will be like a fat chick with skinny legs
17x8 will sit flush with not spacers
these wheels are 6# lighter than factory thus better mpg
