Default Hi guys, question about IS250 headunit?

I have an IS250 2009 model with no gps headunit, if i wanted to change it to a factory one what is the process? Ive seen many used ones online, and was wondering how hard the process is. When I asked a couple of local mechanics they said its a super hard job because they need a wire or something from lexus to install the factory one? I didn't quite understand this and was hoping someone here would be able to help me out. Thank you so much!

A little noted god you, if you are looking at 2010 and up unit, The DIY link is not applied cause they are totally different. It’s only applied to 06-09 unit!!!
