Default Rear rotor dust shields

1998 ES300, they are rusted and crumbling. Do I really even need them?

Most people in the same situation just remove them. I removed mine a few years ago. Nothing happened.

I don't know anyone that replaced them. I may be wrong though

Mine fell apart (2 from rear) for more a year and I have no issue. I read some comments saying that rotor might has a shorter life because of dirt or dust trapped. I guess I will deal with that later.
