Default Awd coilover options

Hi guys, I've been trying to search here and on google and I'm unable to find out any information on coilovers for an awd 460
i know the struts are different but anyone know if coilovers are universal fit? All the ones I've found aka ways say only for rwd model but I'm not sure if it's the sellers that just aren't sure and don't want to say they'll fit

thanks in advance,

The mounting points for AWD and RWD are completely different. Hence the reason why LS600 (awd) coilovers will not fit the LS460 and vice-versa. As for coilover options for AWD, there are plenty - JIC, Largus, Youzealand, etc. Most Japanese manufacturers make them, it ultimately will come down to how much you're willing to spend.

Thanks for the info,
And if not going coilover route, springs from rwd fit but only options for shocks are oem correct ?

So even ls600 awd vs ls460 awd will be diff?

Sounds like your vehicle is an AWD without air suspension(?). I just remembered the rear struts are interchangeable between RWD/AWD LS460s; however the front struts are not. Sorry if this is TMI, but the front struts of an AWD LS460 have a C bracket on the bottom to go around the axle.

If you end up not going the coilover rate, I can't say for certain if there are different springs for the AWD/RWD. Not sure the load rating for RWD springs would be the same as AWD; however, regardless of vehicle, lowering your car via springs only will inevitably wear out your factory struts faster.

My understanding is that the LS600 AWD Coilovers would fit an LS460 AWD.

Yes I've got an '11 awd ls460 without air suspension, checked out largus and youzealand sites and couldn't find any coilovers for awd, only 2wd model on largus site.

Man, wish they weren't so hard to find!

Just did a quick search, looks like RS*R makes an AWD coilover:

Thanks for helping me find options, when I try the rsr site I'm still only seeing rwd option, am I doing something wrong? Google is only translating some of the Japanese for me, but only showing FR chassis

I pmed the vendor here on cl for bc coilovers he is saying it should fit as there is no separation of parts for bc in the awd and Rwd coilovers.
Vendor= Jm auto racing

Odd, when I input the data for an LS460 it gives me both options. Here's a screen shot.

I'm sure there's vendors here that have an account with RSR; however, in the off chance they don't, PM me and I can put you in touch with someone who can get them.

After you've spent enough money on our cars, "knowledge" becomes inevitable. I've actually got a couple set of coilovers in the garage that I plan on having rebuilt, but it'll be for those who want something more than the standard coilover/spring set up.
