Default GX 460 Tires Life

Hi, New Lexus GX 460 Owner here. I went 10pages deep looking for this on this blog but could not find what i was looking for. My question is How Long the tires last on GX 460s?

Mine is 2015 Lexus GX 460 Luxury which i purchased 3 weeks ago and the current tires look brand new. how many miles you guys are getting out from your tires? i drive with a lot of love and do not do any sort of off roading or aggressive driving nor i ever intend to tow 6500 lbs

What tires do you have? It's depend on your driving behaviors, PSI, alignments too and some tires last longer than others due to harder compound. But expect at least 35-40k or so out of them if they're brandnew. Some could go up to 50-60k.

It Depends..driving style, PSI, hot/cold, towing, on board carriage .....

I think the OEM tires will not last more than 35k miles since GX is a heavy vehicle. Mine '15 is at 23k miles and the OEM Mich is showing some age.

I think the OEM tires are a pretty hard rubber compound, and not very aggressive tread. So I would think 35k to 45k would be a pretty good average. That's sorta what i'm expecting. But the wife tends to make rags out of most tires pretty quick.

I have the the Tour in the back and Tour HP in front installed new by previous owners around 15k miles or so ago. They were measured at 7/32 last week so maybe another 10-15k more to go.

+1. The Premier LTX are the best tires available for our trucks right now. Driving will be smooth as glass with them, and both dry and wet performance are excellent.

I disagree. The Michelin Defenders have been much better for me.

I think so. The Premier is better suited for CUVs while the Defenders is suited for heavy SUVs.

Did you all get P-standard load or LT-light truck load? SInce the GX is 5200ish pounds, would LT be better?

But have you actually compared (installed) both on your GX?

I have the Defender LTX and they seem GREAT. Plus they have a 70,000 mile tread-wear warranty AND there were huge discounts on them.
