I have a 2003 ES 300 that I need to do the knock sensor hack, using the black and clear wires. I hope someone can show me the location of the wires in the glove box. P0330 Knock Sensor - Bank 2 error code.

I had a girlfriend back in the day, took a class from him (Ben Stein) at Pepperdine after the movie was out and before he got famous writing and could quit his day job. She said he would actually drop that in class to perk it up since it was a boring law class. No one could take it and it really got their attention. Funny real life story.

to be considerate to the OP: I have no idea why you want to hack that besides just fix it. what is the real issue here?

Recently I had the same error code and to improve driveability I did the "hack" repair. Since my intent is to fix properly when the weather improves, I did not want to cut the wire at the ECM. Instead, I decided to make the piggyback connection (using a waterproof quick splice) under the hood at the harness connection. You will need to remove the air-filter housing to access. Using the below picture you can determine which wire (upper left for bank 2) needs to be bypassed. This worked perfectly and could be an alternative approach for you to consider. Good Luck.

Is this connector next to the top of the air filter housing (about 1" apart), with 2 wires coming out of the back?

No, you need to remove the entire air-filter housing for access. The knock sensor connection to the main harness can be found near the thermostat. This is the knock sensor harness which runs across the intake manifold, due to heat the harness becomes brittle. Remove enough conduit (which will likely crumble) to make your splice.
