Lexus 430LS year 2001: On my second after factory transmission in less than 6 months. After driving for a few miles at city speeds the vsc light and head light leveling light come on and at acceleration, the engine will rev but not go into gear. Last week the repair shop swore it was fixed by tightening the harness and sensors but now 4 days later it has happened again. Can't believe I've had two bad after factory certified transmissions and it must be something that's being overlooked --- any ideas?

My money is on a bad electrical connector or sensor. Have a good tech with a TechStream system test your circuits out before you think of pulling the tranny.

Yes I agree. If you can find an electrical diagram for the vehicle you can try and see if all of the signals share a common connector or junction box. I strongly suspect this is wiring or connector related.
