how to get rid of old brake/suspension bits
over the years I have collected mass amounts of old suspension components after upgrading to coilovers, doing brake changes, 5-lug and rear disc swaps (my Honda days), and sway bar upgrades. I have so much old junk now that I'm moving I'd rather not take it with me.
besides tossing them in my very small trash can for the garbage truck to grab (and make a thunderous noise when it slams into the back), what's the next best way to get rid of all this metal? metal scrap yard? will a junk yard take it? how do shops normally get rid of this stuff?

You kept all the parts from your CB until now?
Guys that collect junk usually drive around shops and pick up their old metal, tires, and large items. Your best bet would be a metal recycler. If you don't live in a gated community, then there is probably someone that drives around on your trash day to pick up scrap metal. I usually leave all my old suspension parts, rotors, and random metal out on the curb in the morning and its all gone by 9AM.
