Default Has anyone tried this on 2IS DRL/highbeam bulb?

just noticed this on TRS

https://www.theretrofitsource.com/le...oke-51616.html

I didn't like the cheapo LED that works for DRL but doesn't add light for high beam but I am not into a full HID retrofit either.
Would this work as a easy substitute?
Does anyone know if our lexus DRL voltage is around 6V or not?

Thanks

Have you looked into the ijdmtoy cree led ones? They are pure white and they look awesome. I've had them almost 2 years now, and no problems. They are about $50. You will need a decoder kit though. See link below. Mine are the 50W capacity. So these should be way brighter at 80W Capacity.

THanks for your reply. In your experience, do these actually throw enough light down the road when you put it in high beam?

I have similar to your initial link. Work well in my high beam .
Dont get 6000k, too white and get absorbed into the road, get in the range of 4300k same as oem kelvin.

Mind if I ask which one you have that fits the IS350?

My 2011 has HID lights . The high beam is 9005/hb3
The ones I got from ebay 6 months ago are not there anymore.
Those are similar in your link.
Be aware a lot of the cheap ones do not have enough output for headlights, only for DRL or fogs.

Although not Morimoto I installed a set of GTR Lighting Gen 2 led bulbs on my ebay projector headlights and it is kind of a mixed bag. LEDs definitely make the road immediately infront of the car brighter and extends the beam pattern wider but I find that it really loses in a distance test against the halogen bulbs. Possibly because the white light is washed out by the street lights or maybe my alignment isn't perfect but just my review on LED bulbs. They do look great in pitch black areas and the wall alignment test.

@Aspect

Thats similar to my findings .
Same for HIDS. Look great in 6000k but get washed out. 4300k just so much better to see by, especially when wet.
