Default Keyfob not working

Have a 2004 rx330. Both keys worked fine for locking and unlocking car until I had a new transmission put in. Now about half the time neither key will work for keyless entry. Both start car fine. Also sometimes when putting key in or taking out the steering wheel does not reset like it should, again works about 50% of the time. Both keys red light lights up when trying to lock or unlock car but nothing happens. I think the battery was unplugged during transmission replacement. Do I need to reprogram keys? If so is there a guide or does a dealer have to do it.

Tried the procedure in the video as well as the one in this post. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...onder-key.html

Neither worked.
Could it be some issue with the security system in the car? Because normally when I remove the key the security light starts blinking and sterring wheel begins to reset. But when it stops working when I remove the key the security light does not start blinking and the steering wheel does not move. Then the key fog will not lock or unlock the car. If I put the key in and take it out a half dozen times the steering wheel will move again and locks work again. Any Thought?

Do you have access to Techstream? Personally those procedures using only a key and a combination of moves never worked for me. Got Techstream and never looked back, I can program immobilizers and keyless entry in a beat.

No clue what happen on your car but don't think it is a security issue as both keys start engine fine.

Here is DIY thread for a brand new key registration if you like to isolate the key issue:Just added another Smart Card key to the car (DIY instructions included)

Also try use Techstream scan any error related and probably you will go from there.

Thanks for the reply I will try Techstream. Although the problem seems to be less frequent now.
