Does anyone with a 2016 or 2017 LX570 having issues with seat noises (rattling) from the second row?

You must make sure that the second row seats are not reclined or touching the folded third row seats.

I thought my second row seats were rattling but eventually found small bits of gravel had collected in the forward portion of the rear wheel well, there is a little ledge that allows stones to collect. Once I cleaned the gravel out I had no more rattling.

It happens on the Land Cruisers as well. My wife’s 2014 has the rattle as well.

I have 2016 LX570 and did have the rattle from the second row, particular in the middle seat area. Not too bad, but definitely noticeable when you drove over pumps or rough surfaces. It seems from the locking mechanism under the middle that is not as tight as outboard under the seat.

Yes, my 2011 does this. It comes from the 60% portion of the second row, and doesn't occur when that portion is folded up. It's definitely not a seatbelt rattle. It sounds like the structure of the seat is a bit flexible/shaky, not like loose trim or such. Not sure whether it's worth trying to take the seat apart to find a way to reinforce weak spots.

My 2010 did this. What I did was place a piece of foam underneath the seat before putting it down, so that the foam is compressed when the seat is locked down and it keeps some tension on the mechanism. Not pretty but it works to keep things quiet.

Had the same problem in my 2016 LX, a lot of rattle and squeal was coming from the middle portion of the 2nd row when I was driving over bumps
What I did was took the center seat back plastic plate off and sprayed every metal part in there with wd-40 and it went away.
I would not recommend using wd-40, since it dries fast, so use some gel or silicone lube

Thanks for the thread - i've been trying to figure out where the noise was coming from in the back. I thought it was a car seat. I'm going to try the foam this weekend and see how it goes.
