Default Tomorrow's the day! New GS

Well, after driving a 2016 ES for the past 11 months, I decided that I had really made a mistake and should have gotten the GS 350 instead. Plus, I had gone the cheap route with no nav, NuLux seats and the premium package only. Now I loved the quite and tranquil ride the ES and the MPG was about 25 average. But, the twisties that I get (or have) to drive thru every week just called out for a better handling sedan. So tomorrow I pick up an Eminent White '17 GS with Luxury package, bi-led adaptive, parking assist, Mark Lev. entertainment and pretty much everything but AWD and HUD. I call it my 60th birthday present to feel a little more 'justified', but I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting for Santa in the morning.
Thanks to you guys in the CL forum for giving me enough info. to trust my decision. There may be some less-than-perfect systems in the GS, but I am sure it is the right car for me!
Pics for you when I have it home :-)

I know the feeling of excitement of waiting for the new car. You'll love how it drives much more than the ES. Looking forward to pics. Congrats!

Default Special order?

Is it special order? Because triple LED headlights and ML normally not ready available in the lot (I am not sure).

It has the ML audio and bi-led adaptive headlight option, not the triple led lights. And yes, finding this car was hard and I have waited over 3 weeks for delivery. This car was originally ordered for another dealer, and when it arrived it was transferred to the Little Rock dealership. Hat's off to Parker Lexus as this is EXACTLY the package, options and color I wanted, but after looking at multiple dealer new inventory on-line I really expected to have to compromise something. It seems either you find the base GS350 with a few options or the F Sport package at most dealerships.

Com'on 'Smoked', I get enough grief for driving a Lexus in this small Arkansas town instead of a jacked-up 4x4! This GS will be sufficient for my needs ;-)

How you gonna teach the jacked up 4x4 a lesson without the V8?!

Congratulations! The GS is a much much better car than the ES. I do not understand how Lexus sells so many ES's and so few GS's.

Lower price of the ES and more rear legroom.

Sure... but in a wobbly matchbox. Doesn't even compare with the driving dynamics of a Maxima.

Congrats on the new GS! I made the switch a year ago and I haven't looked back. I can appreciate the ES ride and comfort but I did exactly like you did on the ES with the options and regretted it. My GS F-Sport has just the right options I want and need.
