Default A Very Sad Day - SOLD!

I know, I know, its just a bunch of metal, plastic, wood and rubber all put together but I just sold my '02 after ten years of owning her and it is the best car I've ever owned. Its never failed me and I have lavished her with care and upgrades like no other car I've owned before. As we all know, there is something special about these cars and I am going to miss my '02. Fortunately we are going to keep the '05 for a long time so will still be in the family but its funny in that I feel the '02 is just a hair better in build quality than the '05.
It took nearly 5 months to find the right buyer who understands and appreciates the engineering and refinement but I'm satisfied that the new owner will do their best for her.
A new Audi A5 Sportback is on order and will be delivered in September but I'm anticipating that it will have its work cut out to equal the LS in the ownership experience.

How many miles were on it and what did you get for it?

I have similar feeling with the GMC Sonoma I gave to my son a few months ago. I bought that truck in 2002 and it's been a faithful servant to me for 15 years. Hopefully the boy can get a few more years out of it before the body rusts off the frame...

I'm sure it was a tough decision for you to sell such a great car.

It has 156K miles and I got $8300 for her. Had a couple guys offer to trade me even up for their Mercedes S430's. "Ummm, no thanks...can't afford the maintnance."

2K.....I see you have the Millennium Silver also in your '01 and its such a pretty color. The changed it in the '04 - '06 model change and doesn't seem to have the "pop" of the MS color.

That's good money for a car with that many miles. Speaks well for the LS and/or the condition you kept it in.
