Default AFS Light flashing after installing Swift springs

Hi guys,

First time poster here, just installed a set of Swift springs in my 2010 and the AFS light is flashing. I have adjusted the rear lower control arm sensor to the max up position, headlights are dipping and aimed correctly and still the light remains.

I know this has already been covered in another thread but a couple of things, I adjusted the arm with the car off/lights off and wondered if this makes any difference? And secondly I read somewhere that in some cases its not possible to turn the light off at all and have to disable the system all together? Ive been to a local Toyota dealer where a mate of mine works and we scanned the ECU, there was a code of B2610 which we cleared, after reading what the code was for it seems irrelevant anyway.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

I think there are sensors in the front also. You might have to adjust those.

When I switched to 2012 headlights I removed the AFS fuse to turn off the AFS light. It's located in the pass side fuse box under the glove box.

Glad to see this. I have a 2010 with a lot of track days and have a new 2011 suspension waiting . Was thinking of maybe doing swifts with the new 2011 shocks. Please update this thread if you can. Seems like mods always create other issues with this car. I had this issues with my old slammed GS350 but was able to adjust sensor

Interesting with all the threads of lowered cars that this hasn't come up regularly. Do most installs not have to deal with this issue? If so, why did the OP run into this?

A sensor arm had to have been reinstalled incorrectly, I would be extremely surprised if that wasn't the case. I have installed a variety of springs and coilovers at different ride hights, on different MYs, Figs arms, etc on plenty of ISx/ISFs and there is never an ASF issue. Lowering the car doesn't cause this problem, installer error does as is typically the case with most of the issues from modding these cars.

When I did H&R springs on my old IS250 8 years ago this happened to me, after a short drive I got back under it and had it fixed in 2 minutes. I've yet to have an issue on an install since. Live and learn I guess.

Did you have to touch the sensors in the wheel wells at all?

I fixed it using this exact image, you are a legend mate!

Removed the adjuster nut completely, flipped the arm the other way so it hinges towards the top of the car rather than pointing to the ground and bam, no AFS light.

Can this be done without removing the wheel?
