Default Polished calipers?!?!

Hey guys. Decided to get my calipers polished up for my LS. I had the same on my GS back then with LS400 calipers. Looks awesome behind the wheels for sure. Much better than painted calipers IMO and it's not that much more expensive to do. Can't wait to install these onto the LS

That looks really nice. I wonder how much work it takes to keep them that way?

They stay pretty shiny without much work. Like I've said, I did it on my GS. Although the LS430 calipers are much more filling than the LS400 ones
heres some of my old GS

How did you completely remove the calipers...im afraid to
but I might as well since I still have my gs. Just afraid of the lines. I've replaced the pads and rotors on my 1st ls430. Pretty easy

I have to say that they look really great off of the car. Certain exterior colors would kind of diminish the effect IMHO. So is this done simply by using a buffing wheel and a lot of time???

I'm thinking that for long term use, especially here in the rust belt, that one would want to coat them with some kind of heat tolerant transparent coating in order to diminish future oxidation.

What did that cost you to have them finished like that???

Have you considered putting a clear coat over it to preserve the effect? I feel like you'll be polishing these more than once or twice a year.

Looks pretty awesome IMO

Default Thermal.conductivity

Beautiful caliper finish...

Any information on buffs and compound used?

Braking friction is dissipated as heat.

Do you anticipate caliper heat dissipation is enhanced via a mirror- smooth versus rough casting finish as a result of reduced surface area ?

Thanks..
