Shifter Consol Gearshift Indicator and Impressions
Hello everyone, I drove my newly acquired 2014 IS (Nebula grey pearl on flaxen) at night for the first time tonight, and noticed my shifter console **** indicator doesn't light up. Should it light up with the headlights on? This is the polished piece with the green and orange. I did take my console apart last week to add some carbon fibre touches, so I wonder if I upset something.
I love the cocooning centre console, but hate the cup holder position. Reminds me of the 1st generation Kia Optima design, and how much I found it a nuisance when there was a water bottle. There is also no ashtray and lighter, so the car was clearly not designed for the smoking population, haha.
Hope to hear from someone regarding my console shift indicator so I can order a replacement bulb from the dealer tomorrow. Thanks!

yes that part should light up.
I would make sure you did not leave anything unplugged.
You can also try to bang it with palm of your hand to see if you can wake a slightly almost blown incandescent bulb awake but i believe that may not work on our n new cars since it may be LED driven instead ( i could be wrong though)

Thx gents! I was the **** who forgot to plug back in the small white harness. All done, but I did hate having to pry all those plastic pieces off. Those special orange pry tool wedge kits are vital.
