I was wondering if anyone would consider one here? It is going to have 306 HP with 295 lb feet torque and manual only. The only downside is that it will be front wheel drive. Looks like this car with dust our RC's!

Driven several Hondas and never really liked their ride. I'm sticking to Toyota products.

No doubt if its like every other Type R it will be an awesome performer and fairly reliable and easy to mod. Downside is you need to drive the guts out of it to enjoy it otherwise there's no point getting one.

There are a lot of cars out there that will "dust" an RC (whatever that means), but usually small, lightweight cars with big engines beat themselves up in fairly short order. I think the majority of people here enjoy the heft, quiet, sophistication and reliability of the RC as it is, and I doubt many would consider the venerable Honda as a viable replacement.

I had, until a few weeks ago, a track modified 01' Evo 7 that would likely "dust" any lexus you could throw at it short of an LFA, including the LC500. It isnt beat up and mechanically and cosmetically is rock solid after 16 years and quite a bit of spirited driving.

The second part of your comment, thats why I sold it and bought a GS460. 2 different worlds, definitely apples and oranges. Do I miss the high revs, the obnoxious boy racer sounds and noises, having my head thrown back when boost comes on, or hurling it through corners, yes. But I have never been so comfortable, content, and care free as I am in the GS. And for the record, it holds its own when you put it to work on a windy mountain road.

Much more of a boy racer car. If you tracked it a lot it would be great. If you daily it and MAYBE track once in a blue moon, RC is a better choice in my book(price aside)

MJG: I almost bought a GS, but backed off shortly before the RC was announced, and I got that instead. My next car will probably be a real "dad's car" with 4 doors, lots of sound insulation and comfortable seats. In the meantime, I do like the zippy boost I get in the RC and while it's not a Porsche or Lambo, it's all I want to contend with at this time.

You seem to appear smart, so I will explain in simple terms what "dust" in this case means, Dust in this case means, "leave behind"!

Oh. I wondered about that, because I keep my RC in a garage, and it seldom needs dusting (although I do have a California Car Duster).
Actually, I had not heard "dust" to mean pass by at high speed, but I can use it now, and hope to have many chances to do so.

'dust your car'... The more I drive my RC350, the more I realize how slow it actually is lol! There are 4 cylinder fords that can dust us at this point...but who cares. To me, there isn't a single car at this price point that looks even remotely as good as the RC or feels like your driving on clouds like the Lexus does...this is my first lexus so I am biased and personally love my experience with it. You want speed for money, go buy a Hellcat charger. They are fast but boy are they ugly inside and out...IMO...no idea how reliable they may be either.
