Default 2007 Lexus ES350 Rotor resurface / pads cost

I just received a quote of $780 from a dealer for both front and rear. Does this sound right? Are there are better price but reliable answer?

That sounds about right for dealer pricing, if you want cheaper shop around. Or to save even more money do the work yourself with a kit such as this.

+1 on the Powerstop kits, although I just use their regular ceramic kits at about $200 for all four corners. I don't resurface rotors myself...a new, high-quality rotor costs $20-25, and resurfacing costs $15. BUT...my time to get to the nearest shop and back, worth a lot more than the extra $10.

Used to be all about akebono pads and centric rotors, have since switch to nothing but powerstop brake kits and have been very happy

Yeah I use Akebono/Advics/Sumitomo pads and Centric rotors if a client wants those. They're pretty great

I'd estimate pads and rotors for the front, lets say $300, and pads and rotors for the rear is $200. $500 in parts and 2-3 hours labor sounds about right.
The dealer is resurfacing the rotors which should be cheaper than getting new ones.

You should take this to an independent mechanic. I'm sure you can get it done for much less, while still using decent quality aftermarket parts.

A brake job on an ES isn't that hard, I do it all the time:

I just ordered new Durago rotors and Centric pads for the rear of my 98 ES pushing 150+k but purring like a kitten. Grand total of $ 38.40, incl. shipping. I'd say you're overpaying. If you like saving money watch some vids do your own brakes its not hard. They pretty much make installation idiot-proof because it's such a critical feature.

Since rotor prices have came down quite a bit, resurfacing rotors are not worth it. Just buy brand new ones.

Premium rotors are roughly USD$40 each. Pads are roughly USD$60 front and rear. Plus one hour labor.
It should be around USD$240-300 for the entire job.
