2009 RX350 w/door lock problems
Our 2009 RX (had it since new) started to have door lock issues. Started with drive side door - when pressed on the remote keyfob, the door doesn't look (all other doors work fine). I have been manually locking and unlocking the driver side door with the key. Kind of inconvenience, especially when you have 2 young kids, but hey, this is not a new car anymore and I was going to just live with it. Now the passenger door is doing the same thing, only locks and unlocks manually.
Anybody had experience this before? What is the most cost effective solution?
Thanks in advance.

Most cost effective would be to squirt just a shot of silicone lubricant into that door lock and see if that frees it up. If that doesn't work remove your inner door panel, find the actuator and test it with a mulit-meter. Sometimes you can just clean the contacts on some of these electrical component and that will restore them without the need for replacement.

Do the effected doors lock and unlock using the switch on that door? If so then likely the master panel in the drivers door is failing. If they don't work using the door switch at the effected door than you likely have failing lock solenoids.
