Adding subwoofer/amp
Hi folks, I have a 2015 ES300H with the standard sound system. I wanted to know if anyone has suggestions on adding a subwoofer and amp to the stock radio. I was thinking of a subwoofer box in the trunk and tie into the rear speakers. Anyone out there have experience?
Thanks! Greg

There have been a few threads- I'm not brave enough but would love to upgrade my system as a whole for better sound... Not brave enough to tear into stuff however..

I am worried about running a cable from the battery to the trunk. I feel that having a connector/fuse right on the batter is going to alarm the dealer and they will give me crap about the warranty. Also, on my two previous cars I had the annoyance of the battery powder building up around the connector. On my mazda I was running multiple amps and the lights would flicker so much I ended up replacing them every 6 months! Because of the HID lights on the ES, I will be more careful this time and get a capacitor. I am looking to do something more discrete from the amp feed under the seat. Wish it were on the passenger side instead of the driver side, in case something goes wrong during the process of installing and I need to run to the store, ha ha.
