Where can I check out the downpipe for the nx? I have a apexi mid pipe on order just waiting for it to ship, the downpipe might be a great add on to go with the mid pipe plus my other mods: vr tuning box,AEM Intake, FTP chargepipe and a toms Racing front strut tower. Also is the down pipe legal meaning would I pass an inspection in Massachusetts?

FYI, PPE Engineering out in AZ is looking for an NX200t test vehicle to fabricate a downpipe. They already have downpipes for the IS200t and RC200t so it shouldn't be too difficult for them to develop one for the NX200t. If anyone is interested, please contact Paul Prentis at:

They also told me they were looking for a car to r&D but I don't live in the states. Even tho I'm west coast it'll take me at least 20+ hrs to drive out there. Come on someone from Cali loan them a car, I'm sure they will give u a free downpipe.

Ok I'm LOST with your post lol. 1. 216 HP MAX? Lol, the STOCK NX puts out 235 so I'm confused lol. 2. You show a NX being dyno'ed but your signature shows an IS.

I am sharing a post from TTI Motorsports with their NX Tuning. A dynometer measures power to the wheels. When a manufacturer list the power figures for a vehicle it is posted as power to the crank (most of the time) you have to compensate for drivetrain loss. They are also using a dynometer that reads very low (Mustang) so the numbers are lower than the dynojet. I have a BMS piggyback with data cable available for sale if anyone is interested!

Ahhh ok then. (I understand about the two different dynos and drivetrain loss) for some reason I thought that number in red didn't look right and that you superimposed that to show your net results. Sorry. On an AWD platform I figure about a 20% loss so about 270 crank horse, for an increase of 35 horse up from 235.
And that's from a tune only?
I'm assuming that's a 93 only tune?

Yea their dyno reads really low. I do have an IS200T and I have done dyno testing on TTI’s Stage 1 and Stage 2 with a dyno jet system. On the first page I have the actual results from my car posted.

Dyno #s mean next to nothing unless they are compared back to back to see relative gains. the purpose is to see differences when installing go fast parts. so don't look at one person's one dyno and go OH that's low or that's slow etc.

This is exactly correct. And there are NO other ways to use it either. Unless it was a back to back comparison, it's worthless.

The PPE downpipe is for your IS right? does it hang really low like the NX does? This pic is OEM and as you can see it hangs lower than the subframe. Hopefully the aftermarket ones can tuck higher up to give a little more clearance..

Hung low

Yes, this is a picture of the PPE down-pipe on an IS which doesn't hang lower than the sub frame. Weird how it comes like that from the factory though.
