2017 LX 570 w/ 20" wheels & 33" tires
Hi everyone! I recently purchased a 2017 LX 570. I was not happy with the low profile 21" tires, so I immediately ordered the stock 20" wheels and installed BF Goodrich AT KO2 in LT275/60R20 size. Not planning on rock crawling but I will be towing and live on a mini-ranch so this truck will be used off-road and the sidewall height should be all I need. The tires do not rub but they are extremely close on full lock at normal height, only a few mm of clearance. Clearance is not a concern at low and high height. I think the only reason the tire clears is because I am using a factory wheel with + 60 mm offset. I am running the tires at 40 psi and the ride is better than stock but you can hear the tires. It's not obtrusive, more of a distant hum above 55 mph. Very happy with the choice I made. The tires are definitely heavier, which means the transmission will drop a gear more readily when going up an incline. Otherwise no negatives and no obvious change in fuel consumption.

That's a great looking LX. It is a pitty that all cars on the lots come with the 21" wheels. I myself bought a 20" wheels but from the 2015 model year and went with the 275/60 Michelin defenders. No rubbing as well.

Thanks for the comment. I read your thread about fitting the 275/60R20 tires and it made my mind up to try the same size. Pleased to find the spare fits underneath fine as well. The extra sidewall really improves the ride, I can only imagine what yours is like with Defenders - great tires.

Yes those defenders are really a joy. True magic carpet Ride. Drove to NYC and back this weekend and got a generous 17mpg.

It looks great! I am really surprised that the tires clear. Maybe just the offset is enough. But probably, there would still be some rubbing while turning at an axle articulation.
For me, KO2 is unnecessary aggressive. I am happy with my Michelin LTX AT2 (275/65/18).

One of the better tire replacements I have seen!
Enjoy!

Nice. Since you mentioned ride and PSI, I tend to prefer a lower PSI. The stock P-rated tires (in 20" form) are recommended at 33psi, so while 40psi will increase the load carrying capacity, I feel more comfortable in the 33 - 35 psi range. If I am carrying a heavier load I can air up the tires.
@T4Fun, the stock tires are 285mm width, but the second number is the aspect ratio, percentage of that width in sidewall height. So, if you are looking for a certain fit, you might drop 10mm in width in order to go up a size in aspect ratio.

Just installed Michelin Defender LTX M/S in the 275/ 60 R20 size on my 2008 and can already tell that they feel much softer than the Michelin Latitudes in stock size I replaced. Also fills up the wheel well much better. Too early to make a fonal judgment but initial impression is great and very noticeable.

Just posting a follow-up now that I have driven 3,000 miles on this wheel/tire combo. I have settled at 42 psi on all tires, which corresponds very closely to the weight/load tables published for a load range D vs the stock P rated tire load rating. The increase in sidewall provides a good ride, better than stock. MPG has probably dropped about 1 MPG overall. There is slightly more noise, a bit of a hum but nothing intrusive. Driving up a hill, the transmission will drop a gear to maintain speed more readily than with the stock tire/wheel combo. Most importantly, I have not experienced any rubbing and I regularly drive off-road around our mini-ranch giving the suspension a chance to articulate fully. Any larger tire and I'm certain rubbing would be experienced.
To the poster that went with the Michelin Defender tire in the same size I installed, I am sure the ride must be superb!

I was going to get the LTX M/S 275/60/20. After seeing your pic's and experience with thes BFG A/T KO's I'm going with them. Really makes the LX570 look even better. I'll just turn the stereo up if they humm

@Max707 I went with a D load rated tire as my 4x4 dually can't get through a muddy field when towing a horse box without getting stuck or completely destroying my pasture! D rated tires give me a bit of peace of mind when towing horses in terms of safety. The hum is really very minor, you will not notice after a couple of drives. If you like the aggressive look but don't need a D rated tire, I would seriously consider the Toyo ATII in 275/60R20 - it's P rated, so it will be lighter, more comfortable but still be good off-road. If I wasn't towing horses I would have gone for the Toyo.
