Buy from a Lexus dealer. Avoid the smaller shops

Can recommend Ryan Kipp from Northwest Lexus

Bought 4 cars from him over the span of 7 years.

I've test out about 8 cars before I bought my IS350 AWD F Sport.
I personally think the Q's exterior looks better than the IS, thou I do prefer the IS's interior due the to the Q's just look too much like and iphone store.. too much shiny screens and touch buttons. All the different color lights from those screens just made the interior too distracting and no longer gives the "refined" feel.

Excitement wise, I think the Q had more punch, transmission was MUCH more responsive compared to the sluggish one from the IS, the suspension was also better setup than the IS. I found the IS to be unstable under high speed corning when trying to merge into highways. I don't really like the full electric steering from the Q thou, it feels too artificial.

at the end, seems like the Q had more advantage over the IS but why did I but the IS?? it's a lexus, it will never break... period... for my age, I choose to sacrifice some excitement for long term reliability. Plus I spend most of the time in the interior, not the exterior.. so the IS had a good edge from that perspective.

These are all just based on "out of the box" if you are the type to like to mod your car, aftermarket support will also be something you want to look into.

Thanks for being honest, yes we have an exact same thought, i did test out Q60 coupe compare with IS350, you've said what i wanted to say, i chose Lexus because of reliable and the name, my wife All my Vietnamese fellas and friends told me to go for Lexus over Infiniti, like that Man said, "Infiniti got a banner says" (Why Buy Lexus) lol

DVNL = Don Valley North Lexus. One of your earlier posts was about looking at a car there. I just wanted to give you a word of caution. I don't really want to go into too much detail unless you're purchasing from there. I think just saying I had a bad experience with the person I named and to watch out should be enough for now . If you're buying from there let me know, maybe i'll PM you or something if needed.

I've had my car serviced at Northwest Lexus many times. Aside from one experience i'd say they're solid and they have almost a 5 star rating on google. Solid dealership but I've never bought from them as they're typically not stocked on when it comes to used IS350s and when they are, they go fast.

There's a 2015 right now at Grand Touring in Waterloo same colour. It's about $3k more asking than the one your looking at, but has only 45k so still has warranty and a model year never. These cars are now coming off lease (I got my 2014 IS350 AWD F sport off my cousin) and a lot of them which Lexus dealers don't want end up at auction, unless someone at the selling dealer knows someone at a dealer who gives them dibbs on lease returns. BTW, if you're picky those wheels look pretty curbed like mine did when I got it so I had them refinished and had two bent wheels at 57k (Toronto car) so definitely factor that in when negotiating.

LOL good point, i'm gonna work on that too, going to mention to him about rims, man you GOT GOOD EYES lol ya living in Toronto is tough with parking and cars, i got at least 10 parking tickets a year, also i myself hit the curb once in awhile i know sometimes you don't pay attention. Kittener is too far and you wont get good price, if i tend to buy far away car i'll go to Montreal or Ottawa. decent price down there. Thanks anyways.

Lots of good comments/feedback so far.

All I can really add is that I loved my 14 IS350, which I no longer own. The 3IS was the model that got me into the IS, with the great handling, style, and increased rear seat room.

I like the Q50, but was not impressed with the interior or the handling. With that said, a coworker of mine has a Q50 and loves it.

you sold IS for GS i assumed ? i have a friend he only drives GS and he's young. GS interior is more luxury than IS but the Exterior is oh man looks old to me. But i truly like GS's interior though. thanks for your feedback .

That's correct. I traded my IS for a GS just over a year ago.
