I’m sure I’m forgetting some stuff. Just wanted to provide you with a full list of items in an organized manner.

and I wanted to start here with a finished list (as if 6/30/18). Enjoy the read!

so I sold the 97 SC last summer and came across a junk of a 1999 SC. My goal is to restore it. It basically needed EVERYTHING! I'll post pics soon and some progress.
Maintenance is the most important to me and this car was clearly neglected I had to replace the power steering rack, radiator, water pump, timing belt (it was original at 222,000 miles!), front engine seals, vvti gear, could, plugs, valve cover gaskets, windshield, rear view mirror, right front control arm, installed coilovers cause the shocks were blown all around, new front and rear brakes, fixed the major exhaust leak, changed the oil, and maybe some other minor things. Programmed two new factory keys with remotes and replaced the trunk shocks. I had some old 18's laying around I put on. I also installed an IS300 shift **** and steering wheel. Then I installed a pioneer nav and Bluetooth head unit, kicker speakers all around, 4 channel amp, 2 channel amp, and a kicker 10" sub in factory location.

It's currently being painted Ultra Sonic Blue. More pics to come!

It is already pretty nice to start with. Am sure this car will be in good hands . Dang I love the fact that you have access to all those lifts and equipments day in day out . It makes any maintenance work so easy. Didn't you have another one aside from the 97 ?

Your 97 was already such a nice car. I can't believe you parted ways with it, but I'm looking forward to seeing your restoration of this car.

Wow. I hope to one day see this car in person! I know the work you will do to it will be top notch. USB will look amazing on this.

On a side note, are those center AC vents not cracked? That's a rare sight. When I got my SC back in 2006, the center vents were already cracked as with pretty much most SCs.

I've had a non-cracked center vent sitting in a box for years, been too lazy to replace it, but I think if I actually refinish my spare set of wood trim I might just have the perfect excuse to pull stuff apart and replace the vents finally!

Gerry, yes. I also had a 1996 sc400 that was green. I sold it to my painter and now it is Ultra White. Having access to all the tools and lifts (and water born paint system and booth) makes it easier for sure!

dimitry, I might be jinxing myself here but the center vent was about the only thing I DIDNT have to replace to on this car! So far so good. And after texting with you I decided on USB. Was going to go ultra white up until that point. My painter has done many show cars and is excellent at what he does. I figure I'll get the body set up the way I want and then do the gte swap this summer. Would be great to get some photos of the cars together this year!
