took my car to lexus yesterday to check for my coolant leak and they couldn't find any leaks, they said they checked top and bottom of the car and there was no signs of coolant leaking. They mention everything is normal, loosing coolant now and then it's ok depending how you drive your car.

i will keep an eye on it and report back in about 1000 miles per their request

About 2K give or take...with labor and parts from a Lexus Dealer...there is some unknowns like coil packs that might break during removal and plastic wire loom covers.

Mine is leaking BIG TIME !! I have to top off the coolant every 4-8 weeks depending on track work. I agree that this is a issue with the 2URGSE and Lexus should be paying for repair. I have a warranty and its covered but I think its unfair. I have heard it was $800 if they do the repair when they have it opened up for the recall . Im taking her in inn the next 2-3 weeks. She needs A TON of work. Coming off 7 track days since Halloween. Baby is in ruff shape. Tires are bald, pads are toast, rotors are worked, needs oil, valley plat fixed, and recall work. Tempted to get the tires from Tire rack and just drop off the car with all the parts and tell them I will be back in a week. LOL Its gonna suck without her for a while but she will be tip top !

I've added maybe 1/2 pint (8 oz.) of coolant in the 11 months I've owned my 55k mi. 2008 F (vin # -0815).

I changed the plugs & installed an aos myself, had an independent shop install headers, and the dealer do the fuel pressure gasket recall and an oil change. I instructed both the shop & dealer when I dropped off the car to check everywhere for evidence of coolant leakage, as I want to nip this in problem the bud before it gets worse.

Both the dealer & independent shop reported there were no signs coolant leaking anywhere.

I consider myself lucky, but am always monitoring my temp gauges & fluid levels. I also carry extra coolant and a funnel onboard, just in case.

Ever since the level has not changed. In - 25 to +30 degree C weather.

all I know is I am at the point where I want it done now. Im just going to warn them of my OCD, take pics of the harness cover in front of them, and then warn them again of my OCD. In the I waited until I was the last of the Mohicans to go in and get the damn work done. I wanted them to practice on other cars first. I NEVER jump on recall work first

just to update, i got the fuel sensor recall done and i did have some leakage around the valley plate. i ended up paying about $340 bucks to have it resealed and repaired. only because i know my service advisor personally and he thankfully gave me the employee labor rate and part rates. he said they typically charge 8 hours plus some parts, so would be around a grand i think at a typical dealership

I just took my car in this past Monday due to lingering water temps and a noticeable decrease in the coolant reservoir. Found out it was due to the same leak at the valley plate. Thank god I still had 2.5k left on my powertrain warranty. Just got my car back this morning.

It's amazing how much you fall in love with your car again after having to driving a IS200t for 4 days.

I had the dreaded Valley Plate leak on my wife's IS-F. The dealership recommended me write a letter to Lexus USA and I was able to get it good-willed. Only had to pay for the parts vs $5,000 in labor

this is 100% Lexus' fault and is 100% BS that people are being made to pay for it . I am taking mine in tomorrow. Excited to get it done at this point
