GT3000 1998 gs300 2jz-gte swap
I finally have found money to get the 2jz swap done. First of all I have had the car for a year and it has been sitting because of a bad motor. Thats a good reason a swap! I brought it for 1500 dollars, so I cant complain much. I will post pictures later. I will not be the one actually doing the swap just funding it, so bear with me and will answer any questions I can. I will try and post the progress as much as I can and the Parts that I used, so If you are doing the swap you can have some more information.
Its a *** 1998 GS300 ***
Some Parts I brought so far!
Fuel pump Assembly : ebay -- 160.00
http://www.ebay.com/itm/222030982614
Supra throttle cable: driftmotion.com 70.00 plus tax
http://www.driftmotion.com/2JZ-GTE-T...le-p/dm129.htm
2JZ-GTE engine : JDM engine Virginia 1800.00 ( no tax because paid in cash ) tax would been 200 more. Plus I got Tein cs coilovers for 550
http://www.jdmenginevirginia.com/contact.html
I know I will need a Power steering reservoir, trying to find a good price for one or if I can reuse the one off the gs that would be good.
Also I have a intercooler but I will be needing to get the pipes for it or I may just end up buying the a whole kit.
Im slowly getting parts so the swap can go as smooth as possible. Any input and knowledge is welcome and pictures will be posted in a few hours once I get them off my phone.

Sounds good, what other plans do you have with this build? Its always a slow moving build but you are on the right track.
You have pics of the car?

Pics of the car
Yes Here are some pictures of the car. The main thing That I want to do with the car is to have fun this has been a passion of mine since the GS has came out. This would be a third car and the wife has signed off on it. As far as other plans Im looking to get it repainted ultrasonic blue mica, get audio system, rims, upgrade brakes. I want to make sure the engine and trans are working together. I am trying to keep it stock as possible for the fact my wife will end up driving it more than me, lol.

Preping Engine for removal
The engine starts but when I got it, it had a bad knocking sound and no battery, It didnt matter to me because I was going to do this swap. I am just debating on should I part it out (the useful parts ) or just junk it. Here are some pictures of the engine. The new engine has not been delivered but It will be here tomorrow- he are a few pics of that. sorry if the pics are sideways.

Good information
You can keep a bunch of parts off your GE that interchange onto the GTE if you end up needing parts down the road. I would save:
AC Compressor
Alternator
PS Pump (reservoir comes off the GE and you can attach the GTE nipple onto the pump)
Igniter
Coil Packs
VVTI Cam Gear
VVTI Solenoid
Knock, Oil Pressure, Oil Level, and Crank Sensors

Igniter
Coil Packs

I appreciate all the insight and knowledge. I will save those pieces and If you know, If you could point me in the right direction on where to mount the ps reservior that would be a great help i been searching throughout the forums to see where ths ps reservoir can be mounted or is it going to custom job.

Process is moving along
So far this week we got the engine out of the car and we are in the process of cleaning the engine bay. I also received at lot of items this week. the fuel assembly pump came in, radiator and ac condenser arrived. The intercoolor from cx racing came today and it looks pretty nice. And if you are wondering 3520 paid so far

Good question I am going to have to check on that. I didn't see anybody changing the radiator in any builds unless I over looked it. The one that I had in the car originally was awful. Hopefully I don't have to change it.

I may just have to buy an aristo radiator or one that works better with the 2jz-gte. I am comfortable with using the stock knowing that others have used it before me.

Otherwise you'll just be making brackets to fit up any other powersteering reservoir you would like to use.
I just found a thread about using the stock radiator and some use it and it works fine. Here is the thread:

Just make sure your OEM cooling system is in 100% top condition. Any power level you could make on the twins isn't a concern, and even once going single the GS radiator is plenty capable of cooling 500hp+ without concern as long as it is all in new/good condition.
If the the Heatercore is clean/no blockage, with New OEM Radiator, New OEM or TRD thermostat, New OEM/Aisin/Gates GTE Waterpump, New OEM Radiator Cap or as long as the rest of the system is all new you can use a Blitz, Greddy, Sard, ARC, or other 1.1-1.3bar cap (but I would never just put a higher pressure cap on an aging radiator/hoses/cooling system).
Run Toyota Red straight and cut it yourself with Distilled water to the lowest acceptable coolant percentage for your area/season (70% water/30% coolant is a great performing combo), and also run a bottle of Redline water wetter. And you should never have any issues with the cars temps twins or singled. If you ever start making big power down the road then a thicker aluminum radiator would be in order.
