Blk/tan '97 SC 300 5-speed, I'm 57, bought it from another old guy in '08, 151k miles, staggered ASA's w/Conti's w/ 5k miles, driver seat worn, but not bad, rest of interior & exterior good, some nicks & scratches, new trunk struts, no mods except resonator delete w/4" tips. Still have resonators & original wheels w/ decent michelins. No seat heaters,but everything else. Antenna works, Reason for selling: too many cars including another one of these w/78k miles.....Will furnish clean vehicle history upon request. I'm in Cincinnati.....$8495 OBO

I've been looking for something pretty much exactly like this on and off for years now, so if Quicksc4 doesn't end up taking it off your hands, I'd definitely consider it. I see that you're in Ohio, so I'm afraid to ask, but what's the rust situation like? I'm mostly concerned about the undercarriage.

Also, the other one you say you have, the one with 78K miles - is that one for sale as well? If so, how much were you looking for for it?

SC-4 found something closer to him, so they are both still available. These were not daily drivers, so I never drove them in snow. They were both owned by guys older than me, & I'm 58. I just bought an S4 Avant 6MT, and my lovely and understanding wife says the SC's have to go.

I have to bump this thread for potential buyers - just picked up leonsup's 82K mile SC300 and it is in absolutely immaculate condition. I can't overstate how well his cars are maintained - of the four or five SC's I've driven, this one feels like a completely different animal; handles well, and it still has plenty of power. Great guy with a real love for these cars, and I'd say anyone in the market ought to look here first.

 

So you ended up buying it...CONGRATS! Hopefully, I will find mine soon!
