Can anyone provide me with some links or instructions on how to remove the front bumper? I am trying to get the front bumper repaint, hope do this can save some money! And is it hard to put the cover back? Thanks for the answer

ive had mine off several times. very simple.

1) pop the hood and remove the rad cover and side engine covers along the fender.
2) there should be (5) bolts along the top, i believe maybe its (3). 1 or 2 around the head lights and 1 at the center above the lexus logo.
3) remove the push pins and screws in the wheel well for the front liner that attach to the bumper.
4) behind the liner is a bolt on each side going through the bumper and fender holding them together.
5) under the car, there are (6) i believe screws for the bottom of the bottom holding it to the front air dam and wheel lines.
6) remove bumper.

once all the bolts are out, be a little carefull around the corners by the headlights where the bumper meets the fender. its a little snug and kinda snaps in.

This is very close to what I was looking for. I'm planning on removing the front bumper to check for a leak in the head light washer line...... Thanks again for providing this diagram.
By any chance can any one become member to TIS? No special certificate is required or license to get access to the repair manuals?

So I tried following this instruction but on the top there are two screws that I just cannot unscrew. They are situated right on top of the DRL's and keep popping back in place when I try to turn them out. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

The piece it is attached to gives instructions on how to adjust headlight level, all plastic.

Mine is a 2006 GS 430 if it matters.

Sounds like your nuts are rusted/seized, spray some lubricating spray on the bottom of the bolt. Then grab some needle nose pliers on the bottom and see if you can hold the clip nuts to keep them from not spinning.

good point, Odd that *both* are seized in the same way. I also can't get to the spinning nut because it's sealed off in what looks like a sealed rectangular box.

Try soaking it from the top and bottom for a day and try and see if it loosens up. If you cant reach the inside of the clip nut, then you might be able wedge a screw driver against the plastic and the nut.

As a last resort, grab a drill and start off with a tiny drill bit. Drill a pilot hole just enough to go deep enough to clear the head of the bolt, then use a larger drill bit say a 6mm to finish off the final drilling. That should allow the bolt head to come clean off without damaging the plastic. You will need to go to the dealer and order a new bolt and nut clip.
