Hi guys, have any of you used Marvel Mystery Oil in there 350 engine, I have a 2007 ES350 with almost 180K miles. It is starting to get a little valve noise at idle. I have used it on other cars with success but for some reason I am afraid of these Japanese engines. The oil is about 6 months old with 1600miles. I will change it this month but am thinking a few hundred miles with the Mystery oil! What do you think.
I use MMO as both an engine oil and a fuel system additive. It cleans and lubricates, improves performance and refreshes seals. My 2000 ES burned a quart of oil every few tanks of gas when I bought it used. MMO helped with that and now I use it to top off oil between changes.
Mineral Oil (60%–100%): The heavy, lubricating base
Stoddard Solvent (10%–30%): Also known as mineral spirits or paint thinner; used as a cleaning agent to dissolve varnish and gum.
Tricresyl Phosphate (0.1%–1.0%): An anti-wear and extreme-pressure additive used to reduce friction.
o-Dichlorobenzene and p-Dichlorobenzene (0.1%–1.0%): Solvents used to soften and dissolve carbon-based contaminants.
Trace Additives (<1%): Historically includes small amounts of fat (such as lard) to aid in lubrication
I use Mobile 1 every 6 months around 2 K miles. Is there another blend of Mobile 1? Maybe I need to go up the mountain more often but I want to stop the tappet noise.
thanks guys
