Default 2014 GX 460-300K today

My 2014 GX 460 hit 300K today, 0 drivetrain issues, how realistic it would be to hit 400K or 500K?

Keep after coolant leaks, and hope the transmission electricals last. If so then probable.

I think really good if you've maintained the transmission and stayed on top of coolant levels.
An auxiliary transmission cooler paired with bypassed transmission thermostat will improve the bonded drum seal and valve body life, which are the usual failure modes of the AB60/A760 transmissions.

Stay up to date on coolant and transmission services and I think your odd are good.
Reasonably maintained 3UR-FE/1UR-FE V8s last a very long time.

First off, congrats!! That's a pretty significant milestone!

Now, it'd be awesome if you shared what maintenance ( and at what mileage, if you kept records ) the GX has had to get to 300K

My maintenance "schedule" is a synthetic oil change every 10K miles, never brought it to the Lexus leadership for any type of preventive maintenance. I bought this GX used with 80K miles if I recall correctly but I think I may have gotten lucky with this one.

Just wanted to point that a lot of these miles are highway miles due to many weekend road trips and more recently, my daily commute in Arkansas was 60 miles each way.

Wow dang thats awesome congrats!

So no coolant changes to stave off the coolant valley plate leak or possible hg, no atf changes or hard towing miles, no gear or transfer case fluid swaps, or lubing anything?

I dont tow anything. Never had any of the repairs or maintenance that you mentioned done though. All I have ever done was brake work a few times, radiator replaced once but all due to reasonable wear and tear, 0 drivetrain or engine related issues so far.

i would encourage folks who have the infamous coolant valley plate, cam tower leaks or p02714 to report back. Crowd source some data?

Congratulations on that milestone, we are nearing 80k in our 21, plan is to get to that range as repairs allow or being feasible.

But with the potential US government mandate to have kill switch" for authorities in new cars, we will maybe drive this to when we can't drive anymore due to age

It was probably built at Toyota's Tahara plant in Japan. Where everyday is a good day. It's considered Toyota's premier plant. Like having your vehicle built by the professor...instead of the first year student.

I dislike having to burst the fantasy but the Tahara line is not impermeable to error as its run by humans.
