I have a 95 ES 300 (manufactured in August 1995) and I have the Diagnostic port under the hood and also OBD2 looking port by the fuses under the steering wheel. I have tried connecting my OBD2 readers to the port under the steering wheel but none of them register. So, do I have the OBD1 version where I have to use the paper clip in the Diagnostic port? I have a CEL so I am trying to troubleshoot.

 

I think that for a 1995 it will be OB 2. If you have an OB1 you should be able to see the parameters on the dash. Please folks correct me if I am mistaken again.
