Interesting impacts from a new 12V car battery
Something very interesting that I thought might be worth sharing and could potentially help other people.
I have a 2012 GS450h that has had some engine vibration issues that bothered me for a while. And I couldn’t find the root cause.
Recently I changed the 12V battery that’s finally dead after more than 13 years of use. Initially I thought it wouldn’t change anything. But I was wrong.
The car started to feel like a new car (well more or less). First of all, the engine vibrates far less than it used to be. It still does in some scenarios, which I think might be due to the carbon built up. Also the drive is more engaging. The engine kicks in earlier and smoother. That’s something I’d expect when I switch on sports mode. And it’s got more power to give me as well. Overall I feel the car is revived. Not something I’d expect from only changing the 12V battery.
