Daynick welcome to the Club Lexus but warning you are about get banned for spamming

this forum is organized by specific models and generations of Lexus vehicles and you spammed half a dozen other unrelated model forums with posts about your sound clip.

this is where your thread belongs, it’s about an RX not a GX LC ES NX etc.. Please stop spamming other models

That sounds like a HVAC actuator servo or blend door chirping. There are several under the dash both drivers and passenger side. There is a small motor and gear that wears out or get out of alignment. Not a difficult fix, but you need small hands. Look underneath and you can feel the module gear chirping or skipping.

HVAC actuator – when fails will bring you the sounds of night in the tropics. PITA to replace, getting dashboard out etc

Does it seem like this repair discussion is a little vague?

Hi @daynick .

It looks like you are a fairly new member so...
Welcome to Club Lexus!

They want how much to replace that model servo???

I bought an aftermarket one on eBay for $30.

Ok, confession time, it's still sitting in the box in the shed and I haven't installed it yet.

But, at least I have it for when I feel like doing it.

To confirm it's the mode servo, you can try to change the mode to defrost or floor and see if clicking stops.

In some modes it will be more noisy than others.
