Default Scratch on infotainment (picked up yesterday)

Anyone know how to get rid of this.

Did not notice it yesterday due to darkness of the day 😭

ordered screen protector so I think it will diminish its annoyance but still annoyed 😭

Did you see if there is a plastic film on your infotainment screen. Many dealerships do not remove it during delivery.

I see on the top corner of the infotainment, looks like there is a film. Double check

My RX and wife's NX both had one on that we did not know for weeks. I got the people that did my ppf on bumper mirrors etc to put a matte protector film on my and my wife's screen. $75 and incredible the glare that is blocked and fingerprints. Had it two weeks and cleaned two fingerprints off. Was cleaning whole screen every few days before. Plus obviously have a layer of protection.

I've had my Lexus for 16 months. Yesterday I noticed a patch of scratches on the screen. I wasn't happy. I started searching for answers to see if they could be taken care of. I found those thread.

I went out to my vehicle, put my fingernail under the top right corner.................And removed the plastic protective cover!

I felt stupid but happy ;-)

The dealer didn't remove my plastic film but I noticed it was falling apart around the edges so I purchased:

Amazon Amazon

There maybe other ones to get, worth to have something to prevent it from the real scratch

what if you get scratch again, you don't have another layer to peel off.....

How could you realistically scratch the screen during normal use?

No different if you scratch your phone... either you live with it or get it replaced.

If you're worried about something getting easily scratched, be careful with the dashboard material, especially the part alongside your infotainment screen. If a passenger crosses his legs, there's a good chance his shoes will scratch the dash.

New car interiors these days are certainly not as durable as they use to be by any measure!

Yes the soft touch dash material will scuff with nothing more than a microfibre cloth and a little elbow grease. Be careful! Piano black plastic, touch screen and main centre display all scratch very easily too. Black plastic wheel arch surrounds and lower front and rear black bumper sections scratch easily too! It's damn near impossible to even clean a car properly anymore they're so delicate!

These carmakers produce all these 'poser' rugged all terrain suv's that I wouldn't even want a tree branch to touch them without destroying something!
