is350 black screen, buttons/climate control not working
Hey guys, I have an 09 is350 nonnav unit. purchased it with a nav unit already installed in it though. 4 years into owning the car, the display stopped working. I assumed it was the main power/display board in the head unit, but after replacing the head unit with an aftermarket one, it still dooesn't display anything and the buttons don't work, except for the hazards
I've checked lke 8 different fuses to no avail... anyone have any solutions or possible fuses to recheck?
ps. I spent hours researching fixes and checked all the threads regarding this issue. my alternator was bad when this issue occurred so I'm wondering if that caused it? I replaced the battery and a day later the alternator and the head unit worked for a day. maybe the alternator fried the battery? going to oreillys to warranty swap the battery.. fingers crossed it works.

figured it out, main power supply board in oem head unit was bad... properly connecting the new aftermarket unit with the help of the seller fixed the blank screen.. paid less than $300 on aliexpress for it, looks oem as well. will post pics or links if anyone wants em let me know

Hey man I’m having the exact same issue with my 06 IS350. Stereo, clock and hazards all working but screen is black and no climate controls. Just to clarify, getting an aftermarket head unit solves the problem? Would be interested to see which one you put in. $300 is very reasonable compared to what I’ve seen out there. Lexus dealer quoted me $10,000 for the Oem head unit LOL
