Default Where is the engine temp sensor for the gauge?

I'm not talking about the one directly under the distributor wire channel. This car (mine is 95) has two of these sensors - one for the ECU, one for the gauge in your instrument panel. I realized this after I changed the ECU one and the gauge still didn't work (replacing that sensor [Coolant Temperature Sensor] greatly enhanced the car's throttle response and gave it back some power, btw).

So where is the other one? Is it that sensor on the passenger side of the engine, close to the Coolant Temp Sensor? With a blue plug?

I know there's the big DIY thread but this concerns a different sensor. The one for the gauge. So I figured I should make a new thread.

The one for the ECU is green and on the right in this picture. Is the other sensor that blue one towards the left? I'm hoping... getting to the green one was a pain...

Does this forum not have a lot of active members? I've been asking about my car and I seem to figure it out myself before I get any advice. This is confusing to somebody who has never worked on cars alone before yet I've been able to figure it out. So yeah I realize some of my questions are obvious to long time mechanics, but not to me! So if it's obvious to you, help me out! Dicer has been the only person, pretty much.

Anyway, I think I figured it out. The location is next to the Coolant Temp Sensor (has a black cap). Is this the correct part? It's a "sender."

Engine Temp SenderAlso, what is worst case scenario if the cap breaks because of dry rot when I take it off the original? It looks much easier to get to, so that's good. And coolant will probably start coming out correct?

Thanks, I appreciate your answer.

Fingers crossed there's no serious issues that come from dry rot... I have anxiety and when I did the bigger Coolant Temp Sensor, I was shaking by the end because pieces kept breaking off. It was just the plastic clip though and everything works fine.
