Keep it....they don't build cars like that anymore. Not to mention the time and money invested in the car. Personally, I wouldn't sell it....these are cars that are gaining popularity now along with anything that came 2JZ from the factory. They are Supra's in tuxedo's ;-)

I was also thinking of wiring it up as a inter-cooler sprayer trigger....by pulling it towards you, it would turn on the wiper pumps plumbed to nozzles near the inter-cooler.

I plan on definitely finding a way to use the switch...not for cruise control.
When my car was at SP for a few days, they wanted to wire the cruise control lever botton to use as a rolling anti-lag switch but because I don't even have the lever we ended up wiring in a separate switch on the shifter bezel.

Maybe you can ask gerrb about that one, he's good with that stuff.

i no longer have cruise. Took the lever out completely (wouldn't swap from one wheel to the other and I don't ever use it anyway. I could buy a cruise stalk from an is300 but not necessary. I might change my mind before Friday when the is300 airbag comes in.

The cruise control combo switch is like having 4 push button switches ...

You can use one of them as is without mod.. the ON/OFF switch for whatever trigger you want. It will be used as simple push button switch... enabled while pushed and disabled when released.

The other three (cancel, set/coast & resume/accel) buttons have a common output and all have resistors which have to be bypassed and each should have their own wire so a simple mod is needed.

I have done it in one of my cars so I can use that combo switch as paddle shifters. I will post some pictures on my build thread in a bit so we don't clutter Jim's thread

I believe the oem covers are discontinued. These are made by a company called Ridies and are out of Indiana (although I'm pretty sure they are made overseas). They fit well and look great. I'm almost done. Been chipping away at them for the last few days.

Finally back together!!! Man, I am a little meticulous so that took a bit longer than I expected. Also had some life moments happen that slowed things down. Anyway, here we are. Interior is 90% (have a complete extra set of wood being painted high gloss. Currently baking in the booth. Got the shifter bezel out early as a teaser. Here we are...

Wow!

Jimmy that looks amazing man!

The transformation from how the car originally was to now is unreal, and done so quickly too. It looks like a completely different car now. The previous owners would definitely not recognize it.

Love the interior. Cannot wait to see the car in person some day! Let's make it happen.

Gloss black trim is definitely the right choice for your interior.
