I'm thinking about getting a cell phone mount for my IS, I just don't know which type. I was initially thinking about using one on the AC vent but I feel like it would look bad or obstruct buttons/my view of the display screen. Then I thought CD player, since I don't use it. But I feel like that would be worse with regards to blocking buttons. Lastly, I'm thinking about the area which looks like it's designated for a phone, that recess next to the cup holder. Can I place some sort of mount there and face it towards me?

These can get pretty pricey though.

I use a magnet mount that attachs onto the middle vents. Although it does get in the way of some climate buttons, but meh. Whatever lol.

Quick and easy to take on and off.

 

I like this one because it's versatile, I can have the phone horizontal or vertical while plugged in, and it doesn't get in the way of the shifter
