Default Rain Sensor Clip

Anyone know where I can get the C-Clip for the rain sensor on my '11 F? Lexus can't order just that. Maybe it is standard across the IS line?

They dont sell it seperately. I needed one for mine and i had to get a new sensor. Either you have to find it used or new which is expensive.

I'd try an auto wrecker.. I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure they're the same clip for most of Lexus. My old is350 and my dad's RX both have the rain sensor and it looks identical to the F's. Just a thought if you do check the auto wreckers.

Some autoparts stores still have C clips available individually. I would try finding one that fits rather than spending a couple of hundred dollars on a new sensor I don't need. Anyone have pics of one of these? What does it retain?

^^I couldn't find a photo of it specifically but here is a screen shot from member KSLAM's diy video for cleaning the sensor. It basically holds the cover to the sensor in place.

OK. No doubt there is no choice but to buy the new sensor for that piece.

That's a really helpful video. Nice work KSLAM. Has anyone tried the cleaning and had it make the sensor work better? I've never had problems with mine, but I use PPG Aquapel, so I almost never turn on my wipers. Just curious if it would make them a little less schizophrenic.

Yes that video is quite helpful. I haven't cleaned mine personally though it does display the schizophrenic behavior sometimes! I will be cleaning my dad's RX', hopefully soon, since hes been complaining about it not always working accordingly.
