I'm sure I'm not the only on here that has dogs. I would like to prevent them from clawing up the back seats and minimizing the fur spread. I have my land cruiser to transport them on weekend adventures, but I was just wondering what everyone else's solution was? I saw some "backseat hammocks" for them but was not sure if they were worth the money.

 

I have a venza to transport my dogs. I have the hammock which does a decent job protecting the seats. However, their nails will tear up your doors. I suggest keeping them out of the F.

SO FAR with transporting my corgi, Zelda, she has not damaged anything, she usually just lays down and sleeps which may be why she doesn't do anything. Only evidence of her presence is some shedding and snot on the windows

 

I know I'm in the minority, but I have a cat who enjoys car rides. My experience with him is that he was usually calm and enjoyed the ride as opposed to a camry and a corolla he's been inside before. But there was fur everywhere all over the back seats after he was out. He did scratch the center console in the back seat when I was explaining to my mom what the Apexi throttle controller did. Shocked the living crap out of him when I demonstrated hi-throttle mode .

 

I just throw a rubber bottomed bathroom floor mat on my front seat. My dog doesn't move around much in the car, he either just lays down when I drive or he stands looking out the windshield/window.

My smaller dog can't sit still like that. So I put down like 30 towels and a giant sheet over my interior. I still get dog hair and drool everywhere lol.

We use one of these for our current dog, thinking about grabbing a Shiba Inu later this year in which I would prefer to train to sit in the front seat and not F'ing stand the entire time in the back lol.

Ours is black though, so blends in pretty well with both my interior and the wife's MB.

 

This is awesome! I almost bought a German Shepard puppy this weekend . Have been thinking of a solution as well. She was so cute I would not care if she scuffed my interior . Was even thinking of taking her to track days with me. She can guard my stuff when I'm on track . Race puppies

From a few years ago when she was a puppy. Would only ride in the front so had to buckle for safety. Which likely was the polar opposite from safe haha.
