Not a big deal but I also look at other stuff in photos... neighborhood looks pretty established, several nice cars around, tissue boxes in the rear window usually mean older drivers = light use, it rained but the car is spotless so it's probably always garaged.

Not a guarantee measure but those would lead me to believe that they take care of their stuff. It's prob going to be one of the safest private party sales without any hidden issues you will find on craigslist.

I would buy it no doubt. The down side to this post though is someone on here knows someone in that area who is looking for an LS430 lol... telling you don't sleep on it.
I'll check it out tomorrow morning. I got the owners cell number.. the number listed on the ad is his land line which he doesn't pick up much

the owner is pretty stubborn.. very old school.. He feels insulted when I ask him for maintenance history.. I may have to pass on this one

I looked on Craigslist in your area...I've seen quite a few. Browse and see which one really catches your eye. I know it's hard to deal with a rude seller. In my opinion ...just one record is necessary, which is timing belt and water pump. That's the biggest one of them all. If they can provide that, then that'll be great

I got the vin from the seller so you could get some kind of reference. Not a whole lot of actual service done here and there is a 3 year gap since the last. They may have a personal mechanic. Not sure if toyota work shows here but I don't think so.

Anyways from what I read... anytime something was advised by a tech they declined but they had no problem coming in with lil things. Actual maintenance work though is minimal up to 2013.

BUT.... July 2013 it was under 94k so it really hasn't moved much in the last 3 years... 13k in 3years...

is his car a 2004 or 2005? looks like a 2005 model year but sold in 2004? I'm guessing this is a UL model? I asked the owner if the car has air struts but he didn't know.

He actually sent me a picture of his entire registration and it shows model year 2004 year first sold 2004.

UL? Just see if it has the height switch near the shifter.

Certainly some unanswered questions and missing answers. You may be facing one of two things... either someone who isn't being 100% or someone who knows very little about their car.

Their registration shows that they took ownership on 12/5/08 that's a long time to own the car and not know much about it. Personally I wouldn't completely pass this up just yet because these cars are tanks regardless of what the owner knows. But the wild card is not knowing what service to touch. If they budge on price so that you can address potential service I still would but that's just me.

13k in the last 3 years... he may not of even created the CL post could have been a family member I do them all the time for family. Spend a little time with the owner if it's worth it... but their are plenty of other options out there were you would feel more comfortable with. Buying from a member here is always a solid option because most of their ups and downs are already searchable.

I decided to pass because the owner said he wouldn't budge on the price. I appreciate his honesty so that we don't waste each other time. The search moves on!
