Definitely, a combination of both. I installed the wheels and intake in the same day so i can't really give you a fair review. But one big aspect that i do notice is that the engine is functioning more efficiently. For example, as you accelerate and take your foot off the pedal, the vehicle does not lose its momentum as it did with the stock filter and intake, the engine is not getting chocked up so to say. This would allow you to get slightly better fuel economy, but who really cares about MPG, im getting 16-18 mpg and loving every minute of it.

Also i should add If you are looking to get that intake noise, then this setup is not for you because it does not produce much sound being in a box filter. However, this was the one of the main reasons i went with the K&N, i did not want the intake noise.
