Default My test drive of the 2000 MB CLK 430 vs. 1st gen

Hey guys,

My 1st gen buddy jmai22 picked me up today in his gf's brother's 2000 MB CLK 430 and I took it for a test drive.

The first thing that stands out compared to our 1st gen is obviously the non-lag powerful V8 engine the MB produces. Just like the Lexus, you don't realize how fast you are going because the cars are both very stable and smooth.

The MB corners alot better than the 1st gen, but the 1st gen is more luxurious/ comfy than the MB. It was due to the fact that the MB is a 2 door sports sedan and therefore the seats are more bucket like.

Overall for the price of a clk compared to a 1st gen,the 1st gen is a better value and is roomier..

Bryan

i haven't driven a first gen for about almost 2 months now. and after driving bryans car i don't think i want to. i agree the lexus is more luxurious but i love the sportiness and power of the 430.

why did they stop making I8? Is it because it takes up more space? thanks

i'm guessing it had to do with the size. and also having to make the hood part longer to make the engine fit.
