Default obd I code 25 and 26

hey guys.

i have a 1993 lexus es300. my cel is on and by doing the OFFICIAL PAPERCLIP test, i got the codes 25 and 26. it's "Air fuel ratio fault" according to another thread on this forum. i was wondering if this is caused by my oxygen sensor malfunctioning because as far as i know, the 2nd gen es300s do not use a/f sensors yet (correct me if im wrong please).

also, if it is indeed caused by the oxygen sensors, are the front and rear ones the same? can i just get 2 identical universal denso oxygen sensors and replace both the rear and the front? thanks

I looked up the codes, and alldata indicates that it is a O2 sensor fault. For 25 it could be the "main sensor low for 90 sec" or the the "difference between right and left bank more than 15%".
26 Also talks about the difference between the two banks. So I would recomend swapping both sensors.

Yes you should be able to get a couple universal sensors, but I would not recommend using a crimp connector to attach the connector to the new sensor. Get some heat shrink tubing, and solder the connection.
