just like to point out that we have the same issues with the bmw. while Lexus is willing to change your "dusty" pads and "annoying" runflats as goodwill or what not.

bmw would never change something like that for you for free. just keep that in mind. We truly are spoiled the enthusiasts simply just had to look for aftermarket dustless pads as a solution

car at dealer getting serviced *crossing fingers that pads will be changed*

DOH!!!

they said the 2008 already have the same updated "less dust" pads as the 2007, however they will have no problem changing them out if lexus ever releases a TSIB for 2008.

they said there is nothing they can do about it now.

i thought bmw has 4 yr free services including pads?

anyway, you sure 08 already has the less dusty pads? it doesn't look like so on mine (a lot more dusty than flipside's car with the new pads)

i meant bmw won't change dusty pads to dustless like what lexus is doing.

that's what the service adviser just told me over the phone, mine sure is very dusty as well.

I guess we'll just have to wait until someone or lexus posts up the TSIB. o well, gives me more time to use up these pads.

I've already made an appointment to have mine change. I just went in the other day for my LPS and talked to the service advisor about my dusty brake dust issues and he told me just to make an appointment and go back and have it replace. No other questions asked.

My advisor is aware that my car is a 2008.

2008 Models already have the updated pads. I spoke with the district manager in Orange County Ca. There is no TSIB for 08 since the updated pads are already on the car. I am looking for after market solution. The updated pads still produce too much dust in my opinion.

Really? They are 10x better than the factory installed ones in my opinion. How do you clean your wheels when you wash your car. Seems like you're getting extra static electricity from somewhere. It's possibly from how you clean the wheels off.

The district manager in OC is only half correct. The GS450h is the only model that has the dustless pads. (04465-30400) However, they are not an updated pad, they were original from day one. On all other GS models, 2006-2008, the dusty pads remain. (04465-30410) 2008 owners will have to wait for the TSB which should be out any day, now. If you have an 08, and are getting excessive dust, that's why. You need the 04465-30400's.

I believe its Tsib # Br002-06 for the 06 and 07, No tsib for the 08 yet and no info on rather the 08 already have the low dust pads.
