Update on the stacked exhausts
Thanks for the pics!!! And for crawling under the car.
*sigh* some people just can't be convinced, I posted a response about the exhausts elsewhere and someone responded with this edited picture:

Is that concrete or just a reflection?

Thanks SoCalSC4 for the great pic.
Your post is now not worthless.
Look at shadow from the edge of the muffler. They're so obviously the real thing.

Right, that sounds correct to me. However I guess some people just can't get a wrong first impression out of their mind. Maybe if another pic surfaces where the color is definitely not mistaken for a the ground then people will realize the facts.
You wouldn't be able to see the ground from that perspective.
There's some bumper structure back there and you would
be able to see the end of the muffler "can."
You can actually see the edge of the exhaust tubing where
it meets the tip in the AutoSpies pic. It's connected.

Thanks for the details! I and others have posted the info on other sites as well. Maybe that pic of yours can be shared as well?

by looking at that pic if someone argues that the mufflers are still not connected and that the area between the pipes and the tips are the ground either they are completely biased or just plain retarded. how lousy is their vision to think that that connector/tubing is part of the gound? i mean, are you kidding me? you can even see that where the tubing is slightly higher than the tips.
Here's more proof they are NOT connected. I took these photos on 10/26/07 after the Press Event @ Carmel, right as they were being loaded on the transporter en route to SEMA in Las Vegas shortly there after.

It would be silly to connect the exhaust canisters to the bumper for the simple fact that the exhaust system moves back and forth while the engine is revving, transmission shifting and etc. That is why there are rubber hangers and a flex pipe to give it movement. You can clearly see the bottom pipe of the exhaust canister exposed from underneath.

These pics show what Autospies thought were connected tips. True, they are not truly connected, however, they are at least "funneled" into the tips, now, unlike the pre-production cars.
From what I understand, they still have not started production of the North American IS F. So, until we see a production model, all the photos you can find are not really valid. Am I mistaken?
How is the exhaust configuration done on the new LS?
How is the exhaust configuration done on the new LS?
These latest pre-production IS-F units are the closest to what the production model will be. But correct, there will be some small revisions here and there on the final.
