Are there paddle shifters on the GTI? If so, can you post pics of it.... thanks!

Best of luck George, sorry to see you sell your GS. The GTI is a fun little car.

I know a lot of guys at my track would like to have one of those VWs, as VW is still the most popular brand where I live.

You guys obviously haven't driven or read ANY reviews of the VW/Audi DSG. I am the BIGGEST advocate of a manual on these types of cars. I would make fun of ANYONE buying a sports car with an auto.

Go read any major car magazine's review of the DSG (or better yet, drive one), then come back to me.

One example: http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...gti/index.html

I would never trade my GS for something like that even though I do miss having a fun driving car like that. The GTI is a fun car. I would like to have a R32 for a daily runner. Too bad you couldn't swing the GS430 and the GTI, that would have been sweet.

I take it you've never driven the DSG? It's better than any manual, hands down.

aliti19 and 1993ES300x - congrats on your fun new rides!!!!

Besides the IS350, Lexus has a large lacking in the fun department.

Sweet pick up... I love the GTI and was even considering it when the life of my GS was up in the air. I like the plaid seats, but I'm with you on the black leather thing. Love the wheels! How do you like the DSG so far?

+1 that tranny was the one thing that almost swayed me from the IS350 to the Audi A3

Congrats on the GTI

I agree, the DSG is awesome. My friend owns an MK5 GTI and I've driven it quite a few times, it really is quite a fun car to drive

people who bash on DSG...

are usually people who haven't driven with it...cuz even the most hardcore manual-transmission advocates (journalist or not) reach a conclusion that DSG is a GREAT transmission.
