Mileage on an ES300
My 1992 just rolled to 165,000 today.
Still going strong and looking better with each mile.
Hmmm....kind of like in the movie "Christine."
*Nervously looking towards the garage*

Just bought 97 300 diamond white 170K.
runs great looks showroom inside and out.
Paid $3800.00 drove home (wi) from orlando 1300 miles, cruise set @ 85, 30mpg.
Only one question, the trans has had no attention in the last 100K.
fluid is slightly darker than new but does not smell burnt.
I've read stoies of high mile fluid flushes resulting in failure soon after.
Any good advice on the trans? shifts smooth and positive.
Thanks

For a bit more money but better peace of mind, I would get the tranny fluid completely flushed out. This includes the 10 or so quarts of tranny fluid in the torque converter, which cannot be accessed from a simple drain-and-refill method. I would advise getting the tranny fluid service done at a Toyota dealership since the type of fluid is the Toyota brand (and labor is cheaper).
1995 ES with 159,000 km ( just under 100,000 miles). Just bought it a couple of months ago, and besides changing the power antenna I've had no problems. Just seafoamed last week, now running very smooth. Should go for an inspection and have major fluids changed as I am unsure of the maintenance history.
