Default Door fit
I am amazed at the body fit of the new GS. It is tight. Don't slam the trunk as it has a power closer.

Default Legend, a car ahead of its time
The only Lexus that come with the power door closers are the Custom and Ultra package LS430's. We had them in '91 on the "S" class Mercedes and double Pane windows. Car was very heavy and was put on a diet that lost 700 lbs. in the next generation makeover....

Acura had so much good will with the Legend and they decided to follow the Alpha/numeric codes of the others. Kind of a shame.

I really loved the power door closers on my Legend. The one Lexus that really needed power door closers was the SC300/400. Those doors are so heavey and the hinges wear down too fast. I hate the way my SC400 door closes sometimes.

Not the doors in the GS but the trunk is power close. The legend=****, it really was built to be the best or one of the best.

although it has power trunk closers, it's pretty weak.....you have to close it all the way down, and then it gives a little suck in...it should have been like MB where it opens and close at a touch of a button.

My Lexus dealer has just received the confirmed spec for UK GS300s. I'm almost certain he said standard spec included power door closers all round; I'll ask him to check.
